Just got back from an AMAZING weekend in Lagos, Portugal. it realyl is one of the most beautiful places on earth I think. Especially the beaches...just breathtaking! On Saturday we took a sailboat cruise around the Lagos coast. From the sailboat we got in smaller boats to visit the ¨grottos¨which are natural cavelike cliffs that are soo cool (look at the pics I have of them!) The weather was beautiful nearly the whole weekend...it took until about 12 each day for the sun to really come out, so we usually just ate until then..haha. We stayed at a hotel that was apartment style so we had a mini kitchen and we could actually have cereal and milk! A huge delicacy for americans studying in spain! Our hotel was a bit outside the city but we went in at night for dinner and the first night they had a kickoff party that was a lot of fun. The whole place seemed to be american...especially the beach. Friday it was packed and I think everyone there was a student studying in sevilla. We went with a tour company called discover sevilla which basically plans a bunch of trips for american students...basically they do all the bookings, the most annoying part of traveling! Saturday evening we went to Cabo San Vicente. It is the Southwestern tip of europe and it is basically just a beautiful cliff where we watched the sunset. Unfortunately it was kind of cloudy so the sunset wasnt great...definately seen better in Charlevoix...but it was still a cool place to see. So checkout my pics it was such a pretty place! we might even go back at the end of our second spring break because we dont have anything planned yet and its so close (3 hr drive) and great!
