G'day travellers & hello message boarders
Hope the surf is gnarly & you guys having an awesome time.
Mr Dad May - Byron Bay is famous for being the eastern most point of the mainland of Australia & being very laid back. Not sure why they'd teach that in history!?!
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byron_Bay
Stay safe & chill out.

Dad May
Its Sunday evening in UK. It's raining. There are no whales within sight (no, can't even see the one where Chris and Ginger live because of the mist)......hey, only pretending we are all fine!
I like this time of year; autumn colours, cool breeze, even mince pies and Christmas cake on sale in Tescos.
But some whale watching would be great.
Good to hear the start of the tour is going well. I am racking my brains to remember what Byron Bay is famous for. Never did pay attention in history.
Ginger
Thanks for the postcard!
Hope you have a great time on your mini tour... i didn't know you could see Wales from Australia!!! hee hee!
looking forward to the next postcard...
Love ginger, chris and mr pip.

I have seen Angel Duck at Ayres rock! Yes its true...but where will Angel Duck appear next? The mystery continues.
Hi everybody, not forgetting you traveling dudes. I am enjoying everbodys ramblings. We have asked the travellers a few questions now. Still like to know about the international Big Mac question but may be that's for the way home after a couple more countries have been visited.
What is this hat thing Chrisopher.
Yours, in anticipation of more antipodean anecdotes.

Hello again!
You have a random challenge: If you happen to be shopping in Oz (which im sure you will!) find out how much they sell this hat for! It's called Kakadu Bush Ranger (or the Kakadu Roo) in black leather. Size XL or XXL i think! Make sure it has a chin chord.....
You prob wont be able to bring it back, or wont have the money, but on the off chance....you know.....! I might be interested!
Many thanks!
Hope you're having fun exploring the outback! I got lost out back the other day....so i decided it was about time i mowed the lawn...the undergrowth is a few feet lower now!
Hi everyone else here! Good to hear from you all - even those of you i dont know! Mum Horn is staying in Cardiff at the moment playing at being a student. Bet there werent many grannies on your courses with you in uni! Must catch up properly with you Mays sometime - You're always welcome in Cardiff! Hotel Horn has some vacancies!
Rambling....better sign off. C ya!

Hey Hannah, it sounds as though you two are having a great time in the land of Oz! Only two weeks to go now until I'm off to France - quite exciting, but I'm still trying to sort out all the details. I have a flat now though, two rooms to myself but in a block where there are other assistants, which sounds as though it should be ideal. I still don't have the name of any of my schools yet, but I guess maybe that would be too much to ask of French bureaucracy!
Anyway, enough about me, it's great to see your photos and hear what you're up to. Hope all continues to go well and you get better weather. You're welcome in Carcassonne anytime when you get back! xx
Laura 15 Kings Road
Hullo from 15 kings road - actually laura and rachel up the road from 15 kings road. hullo to rachel but also to hannah although we don't know you!
(Laura) i am having a thrilling weekend - yesterday i took pictures of grass and a cucumber - not in the same picture.
(Rachel here) Don't worry, Laura has not lost the plot, but then perhaps that's happened already...
Thought I'd give you a little story from school (you can't escape!)
Me: 'I spy witt my little eye something beginning with 'p'
Robert: 'Elephant'
Me: ''Can you see an elephant? (and also aware that of course elephant does not start with 'p'...
Robert: 'Err, no...' :-)
We obviously need you back because England is going insane without you. But then, hope you have fun in Oz.
We have a task for you - to receive your prize on re-entry to the UK you must collect 1 kangaroo poo 2 chopsticks 3 noodles 4phone numbers from suspicious men you met in hostels (Rachel does not agree with this one!) and 5 rocks from uluru (we don't know how you spell that).
righty ho have a lovely day come back and play soon

Good morning! or is it Good Afternoon.....Evening?....I wake up in the middle of the night and find myself working out what time it is in Australia....anyway - G'day!
I'm glad you have seen some sunshine - I thought it was always sunny on Neighbours?
I look forward to the didgeridoodle demonstration - maybe we should introduce one into the music group at church?
I hope you are now fully time orientated and sleeping and eating at appropriate times of the day.
Looking forward to the next set of photos when it is possible - i'm sure it must be sunny at Uluru....
