a late night observation - japan is too clean, there are no bins on the streets but there recycling bins in homes...but we noticed sumthing they cud work on...they are huge screens of lights, flasshing bulbs and electronics everywhere, how much electricity is powering this! ? in mc-donalds...yes we were hungry...we had to ask a lady how to use the bins correctly they were so complex wi\th there division of plastics, card etc! today we saw senso-ji temple wh...

Rach- Second day in Tokyo, we both got up nice and late which was good. We got a day travel card at the station and went to various places, the main one being a temple at Akasura... Asakusa.. aka... cant remember! something like that. It was really nice- amazing building. Another thing we are noticing about Japan is how nice people are!! They are so friendly and helpful, coming up to us when we look confused in the subway and pointing us in the right direction et...

There are lots of bikes in tokyo and lots of houses, everywhere! have had to ask for directions already about 10 million times but everyone has been so helpful...one lady was so happy that she even gave us her food for lunch!!! Good afternoon from Tokyo!! or is it morning.. i'm so confused, neither of us slept a wink on the plane so we are very jetlagged!! flight was delayed by an hour and a quarter too while we waited for late-comers, grrrrr. Arrived at 9.30am local time (1.30am england). it is very hot here in tokyo, and sticky too. We are about to check into our first hostel, and then find some food!! Hopefully pics will follow shortly.
