Picture taken in a Gourmet Grogshop (Otherwise known as the Birdsall Inn) in Peekskill on the Hudson River. Peekskill is a 350 year old town that served as a very important shipping center between New Amsterdam and Albany before the American Revolution. George Washington visited this town on several occasions and Abraham Lincoln gave a campaign speech here in 1860 just before the outbreak of the Civil War. Birdsall serves dozens and dozens of domestic microbrew beers and quite a few European Beers as well. In the photo you can see the "tail end" of a "flight" (sampler) of beers plus a pint of a Pilsner brewed in Brooklyn, NY. On the plate is a good old American Hamburger made from locally raised beef fed organic grains with bacon and goat cheese. On the side are condiments made in the restaurant that are spicy, tangy and very flavorful. The "chips" are perfectly done and flavored with a secret spice combination known only to the Chef in the kitchen. Lunch was with my lovely wife, Karen, daughter Kyla (who was born in Peekskill), and her boyfriend Chris. After lunch we went down to the river and took a walk along the waterfront. Most delightful. It was a good day.

Keegan Kuvach jeez, what a long winded explanation. I also like that every member of my family is mentioned but me!
SG Nick Thanks very much for seeing this through - for a while I was concerned that you hadn't come back to me, I thought something may have happened...but thankfully you are still in fine fettle. I hope you liked the lunch project and somehow understood it (few others seemed to). I see art as being present in everything we do and fundamental to our existence, and I suspect you get it too.
SG I think Nick's narrative is not long winded but a perfectly crafted explanation. As Mozart said when accused by the King of Austria of creating a piece with "too many notes", he said "There are EXACTLY the correct number of notes that were necessary"
