Vicky got up really early to call the campervan people about the wing mirror, find a church and find some internet. The rest of us stayed in bed for a bit longer before getting up and dressed. We got up at around 10.30am after a bad night's sleep in the wind and rain, and went to the Ngarua caves for the 11am guided tour. We had to wear hard hats for the tour, it was only about half an hour long but quite interesting. After the tour we tidied the campervan and set off on our longest journey yet to Franz Josef. We woke up and used the campsite facilities, and went to reception to pay as reception had been closed when we arrived the night before. They gave us a $10 discount so it was only $12.50 each which isn't too bad. When we had filled up with water and emptied our waste water and toilet (nice) I drove us to the Marahau, a gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park, which took about three hours. We were rudely awoken this morning by a man using a jackhammer in our car park. The others got up but I was determined to have a lie in so I put on my ear plugs and put my eye mask on and tried to get back to sleep. I couldn't properly sleep again, but half an hour later when I took my mask off, the others had disappeared (it turns out they had gone to the YHA). We got up and headed to the YHA to do our laundry and have a shower, before booking our ferry to the South Island.
