The dreaded rain has arrived :( Not to be put off, we decided to brave the weather and the trams, very impressive system, we managed to find our way to the Melbourne Aquarium and spent a good few hours exploring the sealife, highlights were an enormous crocodile and some really cute penguins! We met up with Owain afterwards, he took us to 'Crown' a massive shopping plaza and casino for a coffee. The boys were well behaved, playing with the crocodiles they bought ...

Up at 8am with the boys, after a not bad sleep. Sarah and Calum in work today so we looked after Archie. A leisurely morning getting our bearings around the house, and then we hit the beach. It was overcast, but warm and the boys enjoyed splashing around and playing in the sand. Moved onto the beachfront play park, again the boys loved it, but tiredness caught up with Jon and I, so we headed back so I could have a nap! 2 hrs power nap and was feeling much brighte...

We arrive in Melbourne after a much better leg at 8pm. The airport was quiet so we whiz zed through security and immigration, a really friendly immigration officer made a real fuss of Gethin, and made our first encounter with the 'locals' very positive. Ok, so keeping Owain occupied is a challenge, especially when the seatbelt signs are in as he really doesn't like being strapped in! Changing a nappy mid air is also interesting, luckily Gethin is happy as Larry and loving the experience. And we're off!! Smooth arrival at heathrow, parking man there to meet us and took car off our hands. All checked in and we have seats together, so the online check in panic was unnecessary!!
