Best wishes for a smooth & safe sail, sorry that you are starting with wet weather but it won't last for 6 weeks. We will be keeping in touch & watching your progress.

As the first morning of your trip dawns, I hope you are managing to avoid the worst of the bad weather. To speed you on your way, here is the first of intermittent messages which I hope will over the course of the trip entertain you, inform you or generally make you groan. This first comes in the latter category.
"Q. How is playing the bagpipes like throwing a javelin blindfolded?
A. You don't have to be very good to get people's attention. "
Have a great sail all of you.

Hope you all have a wonderful trip. Have been thinking about your imminent departure almost all day today, and wish you all the best. I expect it will be a soggy start, but I know it won't dampen your spirits for this exciting adventure. Look forward to joining you for the homeward leg at the end of August and will be following your progress with much interest. Look after each other and saty safe. Love Debs x

I can really understand why this trip appeals. Here are some words the capture the calling:
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by, And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking, And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.
Have a great trip Peter

Peter , Sue and all the Crew,
Have a great time, I'm sure it will be a real adventure. Just back from my 2 week trip, it took me a week to get to Falmouth!!! Watchout for the warships, they are definitely out and about again
