After a very cold night, waking up to only 6 degrees plus the fact that our heater in our camper has packed up we decided the time had come to move on and find warmer weather. We spent the next 2 nights in the capital and went into the city by bus. It was easy to get around on foot and see most of the sights. The heart of the old town is lined with 19th century shop fronts, courtyards and cobbled passages and is overlooked by a castle perched high on a hill. After leaving Germany followed by a quick passage through Austria we have at last arrived at Lake Bled, Slovenia which is spectacular. We managed an early start onto the very very busy Autobahn around Munich and made good time until we got stuck in traffic jam for an hour. We were hoping to arrive at the campsite about 4 p.m. and have a bit of a rest for a change but the traffic set us back so it was a case of finding a campsite, setting up, shower, quick meal and straight to bed with the intention of getting to Slovenia tomorrow where we can start to relax and enjoy some free time. We left St Omer after having a coffee in the town square. As ever it was a total pleasure to drive through the splendind countryside of France in brilliant sunshine even though we did drive straight through to Luxembourg. Whilst there we filled both our tanks with reasonably cheap fuel, 121 litres and it cost 106 Euros. We found a campsite just outside the City of Luxembourg and prepared for yet another early start.
