Hi to all!!
Well im in Perth, I just arrived last night. Its raining and its cold!! This is the first time ive seen weather like this since my first week in Oz so dont feel too sorry for me! My whole time in Australia has been awesome! Ive seen so many amazing places and done so many amazing things! And not forgetting working in cool places all over Australia and met a million different people from all over the world! I am quite sad to be leaving but I am on a new adventure to the land of Kiwi. I fly out of Perth tommorow morning at stupid Oclock and dont arrive in Wellington untill midnight tommorow night so it will be a long day, Although I am really excited as I haven't flown anywhere since the 21st of Sept 05, so thats nearly a whole year!! The West Coast tour was really cool! Swimming and rock climbing around the gorges in Karijini National Park and snorkling in the Ningaloo Reef were the highlights. I swam with turtles, reef sharks, sting rays, huge manta rays, some beautiful fish, saw humpback whales, and saw dolphins being fed in Monkey Mia. So watch this space for the photos. The rest of the trip was also really cool although the group including the driver had a few different oppinions on how certain things were going down! enough said as it was all sorted out!! Spent more money than I expected to but it was worth it, and I am going to work straight away when I arrive in NZ and my mate Gary who I met in Broome is now in Wellington and as im writing this should be getting a house for us to live in for a few months while we work, so hopefully will only have 1 night in a hostel when I get there, then straight into the comforts of a home!!!!!! Hey Pete! Back home now but had an amazing time travelling along the east coast. I loved seeing your pictures before as all the places I visited I was like 'I've seen these on Pete's photo's' - cue everyone getting fed up of me! Ha ha! Hey pops, sorry for lack of contact. Been busy saying goodbyes to people and been working. Hopefully I am heading off on a 9day tour from Broome to Perth on Sunday which will get me to Perth for the 11th of sept and I will fly to Wellington on the 13th. I havent booked my tour yet but I am holding on as if I wait for this bloke from Adventure Tours to come to thge Hostel today I will hopefully get this tour for a grand which is a $200 saving. If that fails I will look for a lift in someones car or just get a another bus trip. Im running out of time on the net so will have to go for now. I will be intouch soon. Hi son been looking at your pics fantastic sunsets think i will sell a few before you get back could do with a few extra bob not spoken for a while me and mum just got back from southern ireland it was really nice the last day it rained heavy all day so we decided to get the night sailing instead of the early morning one that we were booked on then drove back through the night which turned out to be good idea as the roads were empty. Anyway how you doing where are you working exactly and when will you be leaving what are your plans are you thinking of going to Perth next i guess you have to to get a plane for your homeward journey do you have to go to Sydney or can you go straight to H/K from Perth let us know what you are thinking of doing PS i think u will find the big black bird u call a data ! u bloody drongo is a darter or to give it it's real name it's called an "Anhingha" some people also call it a " snake bird"thought u would have got the hang of aus lingo by now stay safe love dad ring us u b*****

This is a message to all at home. Everything is going well. Im in Broome when i leave in around 10 days I will have been here for around 6 weeks. I absolutely love broome! Its so laid back and relaxed. I think I slipped in to the Broome lifestyle pretty well!! I have been working in a resort restaurant though so not all relaxation! I actually got the job within 7 hours of landing in Broome which im sure must be some kind of a record!! The Hostel im staying in at Cable Beach is really cool! There is such a cool bunch of people there, everyone is really friendly and we kind of have our own little family of people here, people come and go but there is a group of us that are all working so thats cool. Its quite sad though cause people are slowing starting to leave and in another week there wont be many of us left and then im heading of aswell! We actually went out last night for Bridgets leaving doo. We had drinks at the hostel then went to a bar called the divers then got taxis into town and went to the Roebuck arms for karioke night which was hilarious. I did a couple which would probably surprise some of you. A good night was had by all but evedently I didnt go to work today like I should have at 6am.......wooops!! Its the first time ive missed work for months so its not a bad record!!! Anyways I hope your all well and I apologise for the lack of contact over the past couple of months, as I am a bit shocking at keeping in touch. A bit like you Popey who hasnt emailed me since you left Oz???? So its good to hear from you bro!!! Anyhoo it would be really good to hear from you mob sometime soon as for some bizarre reason I seem to miss you lot too!!! And Popey when I eventually do get home I am gonna whoop yo ass on the climbing wall buddy!!!!

hi pete, not very good at this. Thanks for the lovely presents - I think the artwork is great. I want to display my tea towels on the wall when I can get someone to fix me some hangers. You seem to be having a wonderful time - I'm sure you don't want it to end, but it will be lovely to have you home again (that's the old stay-at-home stick-in-the-mud talking) - never mind me - go on & have a great time.
