Today we fly home. Nothing eventful, just an 8 1/2 hour flight to JFK, a 6 hour layover and then 6 hours to Phoenix. Just a really long day. Overall it was a wonderful trip and we saw such wonderful sights. I don’t know if I have it in me to do too many more three week trips but I’m glad we did this one.
And just in case you’re wondering, I did go to my doctor for x-rays as soon as we got home, and then an orthopedist for a MRI and had surgery for a torn/ripped tendon August 8. (A week after I took Ryan to Seattle to look at colleges.) Two weeks in a cast, non-weight bearing, two weeks in a walking boot and 11 weeks of physical therapy. At 19 weeks post-op, I’m walking almost normally but a little slower on hills. When all is said and done, the repaired ankle will be better than the other one or at least more stable. I’ll be walking gingerly for a few more months but I’m sure I’ll still be hearing “Watch your step Madam” for a long time.

Adrian Looks like you had a really good time. I am left wondering if Chris likes Cathedrals or bike trips??
