At our usual spot on Cleveleys promenade, preparing for our visits to the doctors (to renew prescriptions), estate agents (re the house) and friends. It's nice here, and hopefully one day we'll see a fish caught!.

Wet wet wet ..... Got back to the UK on the 5th June and have had a couple of nights on the Canterbury aire. Have ordered two pairs of specs from Specsavers in Canterbury. When they are ready they will phone me to find out which shop to send them to. £99 for two pairs on a BOGOF deal, though they have cost &139 as I opted for thinner lenses on the non-sunglasses pair. The beginning and the end. Gravelines, which is across the water is where I put down as our starting place but it was actually here, at Grand Fort Phillipe. Gravelines has introduced parking charges and most vans are now using this side. I'm writing this on Monday morning, the 4th June, sat listening to the rain on our tin roof and to the howling wind. A second visit here. Small town, poor aire services. Several GB vans. Nobody stops for long. Writing this at a McDonalds as we leave the town as no wifi that we could find in Doullens itself. Gravelines next and final stop.

Apart from buying a box of soggy ice cream cones, we have nothing else to remember this town by.
