Yep back in the USA at the airport from hell - JFK been on a plane for 11 1/2 hours the airport 3 and getting ready for another 7 hours on a plane- in pants that I haven't washed for at least 4 days! All the checkpoints so far in the western desert have been ok till now - the military patrol at this point need to let someone know we are coming- they say - which we already have, but they are trying to call to be sure and there is no phone signal, so we are held up while our group guide and tourist police officer are out of the bus trying to get our permission to proceed- nothing like traveling in the third world after a revolution!
