They crown a Princess to celebrate the wine festival. The candidates come from all over the region and the whole show was rather elaborate. We went to the top of this mountain with thousands of other people to sit on the hill, drink wine, and watch a ridiculous performance of hundreds of people in the open air theatre below. It is a similar festival to the Calgary Stampede- and the show we saw was very similar to the Grand Stand show in Calgary.
