We set off in the van for some wild camping around the Brecon Beacons in Wales (or as wild as you can be in a 20ft motor home with all mod cons) which basically means overnighting in car parks, lay-byes and anywhere else we can get away with not paying.
Weather was typically Welsh, i.e. pissing it down every day, but it didn't stop us getting in some decent walks and bike rides.
Back to England for the August Bank Holiday in the Forest of Dean with Matt, Di, Georgina and Harriet. On our last day together we followed Di and Matt in the van to a National Trust property, not recommended for coaches (or motorhomes for that matter!), which required some top class driving up a windy single track road to get to it. Luckily the old girl made it to the top (and I'm not talking about Pam) so we're now feeling a bit more confident about tackling the Alps.
Back to Wales, Snowodnia this time, for a few more days of cycling in the rain and some cracking lakeside camping spots.
Next stop France!
