Apparently they were 3 beautiful daughters of a witchdoctor. They were out in the mountains one day and were trapped on the edge of the cliff by a monster. Their father -the witch doctor- turned them to rock with his magic bone to stop them falling but then in a haste to get away from the approaching monster turned into a bird and had to leave his magicbone behind so he could fly to safety. He survived but when he returned he couldn't find his magicbone. The witchdoctor to this day is still in a bird form trying to find his magicbone, and people say they hear crying and whispering coming from the 3 sisters...
