After a wonderful journey all around the country, our last night in Iceland was quite busy since it was Culture Night in Reykjavik. Just time for us to leave our luggage at the youth hostel, take a shower, and then we spent the night in the busy streets of Reykjavik. After spending some time on the top of the Snaefelljökull, we drove downhill to the southern part of the peninsula. From there, the volcano was very impressive and we could clearly see the scars that the lava flows made on the mountainsides. We made a stop at Dritvik-Djüpalonssandur, a very beautiful bebble beach. Wake up at 7:15. The sky is blue. Another awesome visiting day ? After a delicious breakfast, we leave Grundarfjördur at 8:45 towards Snaefelljökull, the famous volcano which inspired Jules Verne to write his novel "Voyage au centre de la Terre" (Journey to the Center of the Earth).
