A 69-year-old man has been winched to safety by rescuers after he became stuck on cliffs on the Isle of Wight.
The man raised the alarm on his mobile phone after becoming trapped by the tide about 30ft (nine metres) up at Culver, near Sandown.
Bembridge Cliff Rescue Team sent a winchman to rescue the man, who was taken to safety by Sandown lifeboat. He was trying to walk from Sandown to Bembridge.
That was the news from blighty today - thank God you're in NZ, otherwise I might be seriously worried, Dad.
Glad you're enjoying yourselves. Tim says it's quicker to drive to Manchester than anywhere in NZ. Sam says Happy Birthday Elliott, glad you enjoyed your party and hope you like your present, which Postman Pat should be delivering tomorrow.
Glad you're enjoying the fabulous sights. I've just paid for your next holiday, so something to look forward to!
Love Jess, Tim and Sam

Hi Bloggers, glad you're having such a good time, hope living upside-down isn't TOO disorientating. Lovely to read about your travels and try to picture ourselves there - I wish. Looking forward to (hopefully) some more pictures if the internet cafe allows. Just to cheer you up the weather here is lovely, wall to wall sunshine. Last night as I was doing the barbie - only joking, but it HAS been sunny, though pretty cold. Look forward to the next stop. Lovew. Jan and Nick

Glass to see that you're enjoying it all - looks like lots of eating and drinking to me - perfect
Been for a midwife appt today; all is still going well (though I think she's growing at a rapid rate). People at work are saying that I'm expanding before their eyes. Think I'll wire my jaws together.
Jim says thanks for the pressie. Would you believe that it only arrived yesterday??!!
Keep the updates coming and enjoy yourselves,

Hi Mum,
Thanks for your text regarding phone, I can start to mourn its passing now! I know that it was lost in NZ so I can only think that it was thrown away accidentally with all our rubbish. Anyhoo, John's is working mighty fine so thanks Johnsie!
I've got everything crossed that you didn't get our old campervan, let me know! Hope you're enjoying the campervan lifestyle after the luxury of your hotel beds
Love Sarah xx

Hi All
Lovely piccies - they brought back fab memories of our trip to HK. Did anyone tell you the significance of the yellow/red and red/yellow signs in the night market? Was the sampam captained by amad sampan lady?
Up the blogs (keep)!!
Love Jessie
