I think Laura will feel quite at home in the jungle as it will pretty much resemble her bed room back home. You never quite knew when some wild animal would pounce from under the cover of a steaming heap of clothes or slither out of a stagnant glass of something unfathomable; so I'm not too worried about her now!

Trish, we can write to one another while the girls are temporarily out of striking distance of a computer! Now they have a chance to be really out on their own. I wonder if the rain forest knows what's about to hit it...

Dear Martha, Laura and Niyma,
Hi girls! How's your massive world tour going? Now I'm enjoying reading your blog & lots of lovely photo here in Tokyo!
I hope you all enjoyed your tour in Japan. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to spend with you, but I was lucky to take you to dinner another night and enjoyed hunging around Harajuku together and it was fun to hear what you've tried in my country so far. In 1994, I stayed Martha's family in Cheltenham and I really enjoyed staying their house and studying English. Especially Martha's family treated me very nice even I was a helpless non-English speaking foreign student at that time! I never forget their kindness, so I'll always welcome anyone from U.K.! Actually my English is getting worse as I currently don't speak English at all, so I couldn't talk a lot and couldn't be your proper guide in Tokyo, but I was happy to see you all enjoyed Korean BBQ, and hunging around together fashionable? odd? town of Harajuku where always fully crowded with Japanese 'unique' teenager. Anyway, it was good experience for me to see how Brithish girls react and how you feel about Japan and our culture!
I really miss you cheerful lovely girls, and hope you'll enjoy rest of your long tour, and looking forward to reading your updated blog from each country.
Loads of love,
Koo - Kumiko Hirano
P.S. I really thank to Denise & Fergus to give me such a wonderful oppotunity to see Martha in Tokyo.
