Day 251, 12 March 2013. Urban Distilleries - Kelowna, British Columbia. We discovered our new favourite place in Kelowna completely by accident - we were at the Tree Brewing Co. picking up some local beer and they recommended we check out Urban Distilleries. So we did! We found the distillery and store on Bay Street Kelowna and for the first time ever did a "spirit tasting" session - Spirit Bear Vodka, Lavender infused Gin (wow!) - not to mention rum and whisky...

Day 250, 11 March 2013, Summerland, British Columbia. We drove around the shores of Lake Okanagan today and headed south through Peachland to Summerland. The fruit stands are still closed as are many of the wineries, but it sure seems like Summer has arrived in British Columbia - wow! Day 249, 10 March 2013, Kelowna - The beauty of staying in a house on the shores of a crystalline lake, is doing nothing is a pleasure. So we did. We rugged up and headed to the ice hockey arena tonight for one of the biggest games of the season - arch-rivals slamming into each other, chasing a small puck with big sticks, sharp blades and lots of protective gear - and doing it all at ferocious speeds on ice.
