Lou & Nev Travels
Still recovering from jetlag.
Lima dry and dusty. Temperature is comfortable. Have visited the Cathedral of Catacombes. Very interesting historically and fascinating festival ritual. Watched about 30 men sway and shuffle a 10,000 kilo silver Virgin Mary around the church courtyard. Then the Spanish Inquisitions Museum attested to a tortured past. Today explored the Miraflores suburb where we are staying about 1km from the beach. Very ritzy, quite a contrast to the poor city and other suburbs we have taxied through. We have felt quite safe here despite warnings that it may not be.
On to Cuzko in the morning and two days acclimatising before we hit the Inca Trail.
