Today we headed to San Antonio, Texas. After a fairly long drive we arrived at a much nicer campsite that the night before! No raccoons! After setting up we jumped in the pool which was lovely! That evening we walked around San Antonio which is a nice place but fairly touristy! We went for dinner at a restaurant called Dick's last resort. The theme of this restaurant was to insult all their customers and make everyone wear dunce hats with rude comments on. Everyone that knows me will know that this is my idea of hell! But I survived! Following this, we went to a cowboy dance hall which was a lot of fun! It's so different to the culture in England. All locals are taught dances at school so they all know and perform the same dances. The girls were incredible! It was so nice to see young guys dancing...I think it was fairly obvious that we were not from the area as we were all standing at the edge watching everyone dance. A local Texan asked me to dance which initially terrified me but He assured me that he would teach me. After the dance had finished I was glad that I had danced with a local as I got to try cowboy dancing! Although I wasn't very good! Fliss danced with a local (or so she thought until he told her that he actually moved over from Ipswich!)
