Today we left for franz Josef which is where we are able to climb a glacier! Our hostel in franz josef was lovely and had a large hot tub so after doing some much needed laundry some of us jumped in the hot tub! I also went for a run that afternoon which was really nice in the trees! The next day we has a helicopter ride to the top of the glacier and then hiked around on the top for a few hours! This evening we had a party at the 'pop pub'. The theme was bad taste so on the way to the hostel we stopped off in grey mouth to get our outfits. It was such a great funny evening! We all enjoyed a steak meal together which was delicious! The group has really formed into a family, I feel very lucky to have met so many great people!

Today we see off for Westport. It was a beautiful drive. Westport was a funny town, as our driver explained 'it's full of inbreds' I found them to be very friendly! This evening we all had dinner together (about 10 of us), mats was head chef and cooked a curry! Yummy! It was a very chilled out evening watching many chic flicks which the boys were not so impressed with!

Yesterday we arrived in Kaiteriteri which again is beautiful. Our hostel was right on the beach! After exploring the beaches we joined in with a bar quiz and came 2nd which I think we were all very shocked by! We were quite relieved that we didnt win as the prize was a 50 dollar bar tab and I think we were all enjoying an evening sober! So today we left Taupo and headed for River Valley. The hostel was in the middle of nowhere, the dorm had 4 bunk beds which slept 32 people which was such a funny experience to be going to sleep so close to the people next to you! River valley was such a beautiful remote place. That afternoon we went horse trekking which was great fun! The horses weren't ridden in bits so I had to get used to a completely different way of riding, and we were going up steep hills....
