I don't know if it's me or the circles I move in, but it would seem the term 'morning glory' has more than one meaning. I f I were you, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, which neatly brings us back to the phrase 'morning glory' again. please don't let this put you off the majority of local delicacies. I believe that "morning glory" is water spinach. You can find it often at restaurants as fried morning glory. It is a very delicous vegetable with green stems and leafs. The stems and leaves are cut to pieces and then either used as a vegetable for soups or for fried vegetable dishes and served with oyster sauce. In Vietnam it is regarded as the national vegetable. I hope you find that useful. Are you in Phuket yet?
