Nigel's Travels
Well I got out of Rio Gallegos rather quickly and arrived in a much nice place called Ushuaia the southern most city in the world. 60 quid for a one hour flight in Business Class and I was here. It was all that was available so there I was sipping Champagne on my first ever business class flight was as a backpacker. Some people would say I am not doing this travelling properly and I should have got the 16 hour bus and saved 40 quid but I don't care.
I have a good hostel and met loads of people. On Saturday night we did a full on night out hitting two clubs and getting in at 5:00am which is early for the locals. Climbed up to the Glacier yesterday but ripped a massive hole in my trousers on the rocks struggling to reach it. The path no longer reaches the Glacier as it is retreating quickly so now involves quite a rock Climb to get there. I hope you can all now understand the true devastating effects of global warming (I now only have one pair of trousers left) and will walk to work from now on.
The weather has been pretty hot for where I am but it is raining quite heavily today. Still I will be in Rio an Friday in a Hostel on block from Copacabana beach. It's a hard life.
