We had a pretty good day, after opening our hundreds of presents (as if!) and eating a huge free breakfast at our hotel we had a few hours on the beach (the weather was really good the whole time we were in Samui luckily) and then went and had christmas dinner at a bar down the road. Hello Everyone, We are now in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and leave for Bangkok tonight on the exciting night bus. We are really looking forward to the drive! Just a quick update, Michael and Graham decided that we would do the rafting tour and paid the deposit without my knowledge! The first day was very tame, nice relaxing journey down the river with lovely scenery all around. Slept in even more basic accommodation than the trekking tour if that's possible as the hut we slept in didn't even have four walls!
