Tim said WHU took our manager....We couldn't wait to get rid of him...Look at him now NO JOB and even SKY,SULTANA, Channel 5, ITV or BBC don't want him as a pundit because he is so boring.

WHU tried ICELAND for investment and that fell apart.I hear they were looking at ALDI and LIDL but instead took a deal from SUPERDRUG to help with all their injury problems. XL did not last long as shirt sponsor either...Small club small minds....

George we won 2-1 sunday against royston (the team with the troll lol) so thru to nxt round of FA cup. We have a county cup game sun against colchester. so we aint doing to bad.

Sorry Nic but I forgot to say in my previous message that I called in to the O2 shop in Andover yesterday.

The girl told me that there is nothing I can do with your exisiting number because you have to do it personally. I told her that you were currently riding elephants in the jungles of Vietnam to which she replied "so she can't come in herself then". Bright or what????

She said the best way to get round the problem is to buy local SIM cards as it will be cheaper. Apparently a PAY AS YOU GO SIM card from the UK will be no good.

Just read your blog. So funny.

I am amazed you have not had food poisoning yet but it just shows what I always thought that you have got more chance of catching something from what you buy at Tesco's than eating a half dead dog in the Far East.

Nic you must have inherited your dad's cast iron stomach but watch out for shark meat, I had it in Singapore once and I pebbledeshed the loo in the hotel for about 2 hours. I blocked the loo and ruined all the towels but as I did not want the hotel to find out I put the towels in one of the laundry bags and dumped them in a dustbin in the hotel lobby. God knows what the maid must have thought whern she came to clean my room and only found a face flannel!!!

I am so proud of what you are doing. It was always a dream of mine to travel the world and I was lucky to see so many places when I was working in the City but the way you are doing it is a real experience that you will not forget. Business trips are quickly forgotten.

No news on the Charlton front today. I hope the deal does not collapse but the way these Arabs are talking it is already a done deal. I still have the Arab headress I got when we went to Egypt and so I am going to wear it at a home game. I am not telling Linda or Louise but you never know I might get my face in the papers again!!!

Mum, Louise, Michelle and Alfie are all OK. Mich has her laptop now and she said she is going to start sending you messages. I am seeing her on Monday and so I will show her the blog and she can keep in touch that way.

I have to get back to work now. This financial crisis is drving me nuts. I retire and put my savings in to what I think is a good and safe investment and then some spotty 25 year old banker(or should I say w***er) goes and loses 20% of it in one week. It will bounce back he says to which I replied if it does not lets see how far you can bounce!!!

Never mind I will still be around when everything gets back to normal.

Got cut up at a roundabout yesterday and so I delivered that immortal phrase "who taught you how to drive, Stevie Wonder". It reminded me of our away football trips.

Finally though I don't know whether you already know but Charlton have been bought by a Dubai comany for £50m. The ground improvements are going to be finished so that we are up to 40,000 and Pardew is beng given £20m in the next transfer window.NO JOKE!!!
