Salamanca is a beautiful city in the North of Spain. We travelled to Madrid on Friday night and then on to Salamanca the next morning. Today we headed off to avila. A very beautiful city. I liked it alot, much more than Segovia. The atmosphere there was very nice and the old walls were amazing. It´s a walled city and you can walk around the old city walls, the views from the top of which are incredible. I´ll put the pictures up when I can. Segovia!! We made it to Segovia today for the second day of day trips from Madrid. After catching the train to the Chamartin station in Madrid we caught another train on to Segovia, all in all around 40 mins travelling to get there. We finally made it to Madrid!!What a city! It´s huge and rammed with people! Definately a drastic change from Linares! And the people here speak proper Spanish (i.e. they pronounce the s´s and d´s).
