Thankfully we arrived in phuket late afternoon and the sun was shining (apparantly for the first time in four days). Got a tuk tuk (which we have actually missed since being on the islands) from phuket centre to Patong beach via a gem jewellery shop which the tuk tuk driver convinced us to go to as he would get paid commision and our fair would be cheaper (by about 25 pence! - you may laugh but 25 pence goes along way over here, haha). We were greeted at chiang Mai train station by a hostel worker, who took us to the hostel. We freshed up, then flagged a tuk tuk to a bus stop, were we caught a bus the doi Suthep national park. We visted the temple at the top of a mountain, mega good views of Chiang mai although a little hazy, due to the cloud. Hi guys, Arrived in bangkok, some how got on the right bus to khaosan road, where we then had to find our hotel, tourists and backpackers everywhere, for every back packer there is a tuk tuk. 1st night we lived it up staying in a 5 star hotel, which was soon to change!
