Oliver didn't cry, he clung to Nicolas's leg for a bit though. When we left the airport, he considered having a cry but then he saw the lollipop machine
When he woke up this morning, he announced there was a good thing about Nicolas going "there won't be any mess" - and he's not quite 4

Hi Nicolas!
Did you know that your mum has emailed your blog addy to all her mates?
I never did a Gap year, although I have backpacked in Asia and Australia ; I am quite jealous of you.
Enjoy your year off, it will be hard at times and emotionally draining I suspect, but you will come back with a different perspective on life andgain a lot from it all.
Good luck and Bon Voyage!
Claire (Your Mum's Friend!)
Good luck with your plans. Have fun whilst you are there.
And don't forget to keep in regular touch with your mum. You know she'll be worried more than half the time you're away!!!
