Up early we checked out of our room and waited for our transport to take us to the bus station. Getting into a 12 seater air conditioned minibus was a luxury compared to what we would soon be on after being dropped off..... but that didn't happen and after half an hour we realized this was actually taking us all the way to Chiang Rai! Sweeeeet. There was another British couple on our bus from Stoke on Trent doing the same journey around Asia as us, so it was nice...

So after our jungle trek we were booked in for another 5 nights in Chiang Mai.... we decided to chill the next day by the pool then check out the night bazaar, which was MAHOOOOOSIVE! Stalls everywhere selling everything from trousers to lanterns, from purses to pashminas, from flip flops to miniature tuk tuks made from empty beer cans! It was amazing. After about 20 minutes though we'd already bought too much so made a quick exit haha. As it was our first Friday...

So after Billy scored a 'perfect 10' with his 'brilliant diving' we decided to get ready and go explore the town for something to eat, which isn't hard to find with all the local stands on every street corner! In Bangkok we'd booked onto a 3 day trek in Chiang Mai jungle, so with that the following day we went back to our guesthouse for an early night ready for I'm a celebrity get me out of here! Up early we met the rest of our group who seemed like a right laugh...

Well, well, well... what can we say about Bangkok?! It is absolutely mental!! Whilst driving to our hotel from the airport we got to experience some of the Thai lifestyle at it's finest and one thing is for sure... Bangkok has NO Highway Code - motorbikes coming at you from all angles, tuk tuks weaving in and out, and tourists/locals having to risk their lives when crossing the roads, haha!
