Hello Everybody!

My name is Nalani Garcia and I am a freshman here at UCF. I am ecstatic to not only have learned about the Alternative Break Program, but to also be able to get my first pick! I was worried that the Costa Rica program would be full by the time I signed up. Thankfully, it wasn't.

I knew that I wanted to do something different for my spring break, so I originally looked at UCF study abroad programs; however, those cost too much. I found out about ABP through Lead Scholars and was shocked at the price, so I decided to get involved. I choose the Costa Rica trip because it combines both a cultural experience and working with animals.

I am most concerned about food and water, but other than that I am excited to be going.

I think it would be intresting to go to a volcano or La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Something that is different from the Florida terrain.
