We started our morning off with a nice serve of bacon, eggs & fried tomatoes served on toast. Knowing we were in for a big morning with horse riding booked through Watson’s trail rides. We arrived Watson’s at 9am signing our waiver forms & selecting our safety helmets. By 9.30 we were allocated our horses, Pete was given Jumbo who was true to his name, also known as a gentle giant. We arrived at the Howqua Valley in the heat of the day. This is the one time I miss the kids and also dream about owning a caravan. Some blood, sweat & a few swear words later our camper is up! The park is under new ownership and you can see they are really making an effort to improve the place. The single shower & toilet cubicle will prove to be interesting I’m sure but hey we are camping! 6am & on the road ! Our adventure begins! Please feel free to leave comments. The car is much lighter this trip with just the two of us. Less luggage, less food less chatter. As the kids slowly reach adulthood we to start to have our new style of getaway.

The camper is packed & everything marked off our checklist! Time to get some sleep as we have an early start planned for our adventure tomorrow. I will aim to post nightly for this blog and include photos & memories of our trip away.
