Thanks Mom and Dad!
Hey Everybody! Sorry we have been slacking on updating our journal. Our journey to Rome was long, tiresome, and greatly tested our relationship :). We endured multiple layovers, missing about half a dozen buses (due to the fact that we were about 20 feet down from the bus stop @ 1 a.m. in downtown London and about to rip eachothers heads off). We ended up squatting our second travel night in the Luton Airport, and had severe dificulties meeting up with Drew and Alaina due to a last minute apartment change in Rome. Since we had trouble communicating with Drew and Alaina about the whereabouts of the new apartment, Drew ended up trying to break into the original apartment and in the process was chased out of the yard which caused him to rip his shorts while plumetting off an eight foot fence. But everything eventually worked out and we are having a great time. ROME IS HOT!!! We have a great two bedroom apartment (at a resonable price) overlooking our own piazza. We have been eating alot of pizza, pasta, gelati (really, really good ice cream), and panini (Italian sandwich). The tourist spots that we have hit so far are the Colleseum, the Pantheon, a bunch of fountains and basilicas, and we are planning on going to Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica tomorrow before we catch a train to Naples (we might even get a chance to see the pope lead a service). Sorry we haven't uploaded any pictures yet, but we will keep searching for a computer that can make this possible. Feel free to send us messages and we'll talk to you next time from Naples!!! Much Love, Nate and Kristina
