hey folks
I actually left Sydney a while ago but have been having too much fun in Byron Bay to sit down and write another blog - today however it is raining and a perfect day to sit in an niternet cafe and drink coffee..
Sydney has been my favourite city so far. I loved it - there was so much to do and I spent a small fortune doing it! The first few days I had amazing weather and went straight to the harbour to get a boat, the best way to see Sydney is from the water. The boat trip dropped me off at different points and you could hop on anytime. First stop was Taronga zoo where you get a cable car up top of the hill and walk down through the animal enclosures before getting to the car up again and doing it all over. It was so hot that day but a really good zoo. The highight was being charged at by two male lions with what felt like a very thin sheet of glass between us!
The boat then took us around the different bay areas, Watsons bay and Rose bay and then under the bridge to Darling Harbour. My hostel was in an area called Haymarket which was right in the middle of Chinatown and as it was Chinese new year there were lanterna everywhere, different markets and everyone was in party mood.
