Tasha on her travels
Hey, wow what an amazing few days! in Kuala lumpar we dicovered our rooftop terrace which looked over the entire city! absolutely gorgeous, so serene in such a mad city! met a few guys so we all went up there and were up all night chatting and drinking gin! great fun! we had an early start the next day for our VIP bus to cameron highlands! but our 8am bus didnt actually leave till 10am! great! had a 6 hr bus drive in the most comfotarble coach u could imagine! the seats were actaully beds! all great untill got to windy hills and i did not feel too clever! got there eventually! so now were basically up in the clouds in deep jungle where they make tea! \
so our 1 pound a night accomodation was ok, but freezing at night! got up for an early start this morning to begin a 7 hour trek! we hired a guide called Kali and began our jungle trek, and i mean trek! we crossed over loads of jungle to get to main tea plantations we wer had tea and scones! very random! the weather was absolutely boiling and thought we were going to pass out trekking over hills in that heat! then it got very hardcore! we literally climbed on our hands and knees through dense beautiful jungle! our guide didnt believe in track routes so we literally made our own route and he had to get his machette out to get us through the plants and trees! it was amazing and totally exhilerating, he kept pointing out where people had pracically fallen to their deaths etc on previous trips (great to know!) but seriously he was a amazing guide and knew everything about the jungle. it was so so tiring but well worth it, as i said we were on our hands and knees while millipiedes etc the size of a mans hand ran past! also the jungle we were in was full of tigers and monkeys etc! unfortunately or fortunately we didnt see any! we finally got to a gorgeous water fall were we climbed up it and then swam in it! absolutely gorgeous! wanted to download some photos but seems that having th e internet alone here is a bonus!
so now we have one more night then we head by mini bus (bought myself some travel sickness pills) down from the hills towards tamera negara national park (more tigers etc and apprently alot of leeches!) were we stay for few days before going on the jungle line towards the perenthian isalnds. planning to meet up with the guys we met in kuala lumpar tonight maybe as there doing a similar route to us.
probasbly won't be near internet for little bit (cant seem to find a plug to use hair straightners either! ha!)
speak soon love xx
