Well that's it, our time in the winterless north is all but over. We are now packed & ready to leave first thing in the morning to catch the nakedbus, yet again, to Auckland airport.

Our 10 months spent in whangarei have been amazing! From the scenery, the beaches, the weather & the people, everything has made it a year we will never forget. We have made some good friends & are sad to be leaving but we know we will definitely be back, maybe sooner rather than later.

The highlight of the year probably being our engagement weekend on waiheke island (Aly would kill me if it wasn't top) followed closely by swimming at whale bay, the w'end at little langs with the esvelds & our w'end at coppers beach with the in laws which even included our car (whangdingy) breaking down on the way.

Northland is an area of new Zealand which a lot of tourists & visitors decide to omit from their travels but they are truly missing out if they do. Having travelled all over the north island so far it is by far the most picturesque & idyllic I have seen. It is definitely a must for all visitors to go see.
