Kia Ora everyone!!
Cant quite believe it but our month in New Zealand is over!!Noooooo!!!Gone really quickly but really looking forward to flying to Fiji tomorro-top up our tans.
Last Saturday we went to watch the All Blacks against France in Wellington. The atmosphere was great with the crowd going crazy and doing mexican waves for ages! The haka was so fab to watch and we proudly stood and sang the national anthem in maori language - didn't have a clue what we were on about but never mind! The All Blacks thrashed the French something like 61-10, great to watch though.
We stayed with family friends of Megans for a while in Wellington..we almost had a heart attack at the prospect of double beds each, warm showers and a clean kitchen! It was a welcome change from hostels and we chilled out there for a while, with Paul and Christine making us feel very welcome.
Back on the magic bus, we stopped off in Napier where we chose to stay overnight in the prison-as you do! We were staying in the psych unit cell hehe, it was actually quite scary with bars at the door and a huge padlock! We didn't expect a palace by any means, and soon realised the showers and toilets were outside! Niiiice! We shared a cell with a crazy ginger guy which made it all the funnier!
We then journied on to Mount Maunganui which was quite quiet, watched some local netball there, and then on back to |Auckland..we leave tomorrow. Boo hoo. Overall, New Zealand has been fab. We've done a lot of activities and fulfilled a lot of lifetime dreams! It's such a great country and the people are really nice, very chilled out. Except for when they do the haka! We feel like we've seen a lot of the islands which is cool.
Hope everyone is well back home, we'll be thinking of you while we're stressed in Fiji! May not be able to blog for a while due to lack of internet over there. Lots of love and hugs, Sweet as
