Our flights from Nice to Paris to San Francisco were long but thankfully uneventful. The level of personal service from Viking still surprises me. Nice is a wonderful, young and exciting city. We could stay here for many more days. The only negative is that you need water shoes to use the beach since it is so rocky. We did manage to get our feet wet today in the Med. The bus to Nice did not leave until 8:30 so we were able to have a relaxed breakfast on the ship. After about a four hour drive we got our 1st view of Nice - a beautiful sight. A long curved bay filled with azure water with a long promenade along it. We checked into our hotel and went to their rooftop restaurant to get some lunch.
