We spent the day relaxing and getting to know the Caribbean Princess. We love to explore new ships and this was the largest ship we had been on. The weather was warm and sunny and felt good after coming from Virginia.

We got up, had breakfast and went for a walk. It was still cloudy but the rain had stopped. We took the first hotel shuttle to the ship. Check in and boarding were easy and we were quickly in the room. This was our first experience with an inside cabin, and we were surprised how much we liked it. We had a late afternoon flight on JetBlue. It was our 1st time on JetBlue and we really enjoyed the TV on the back of each seat. All was fine until we landed in a heavy thunderstorm in Ft. Lauderdale. We landed OK but when our luggage came our, on of Bonnie's bags was soaked. When we opened it up at the hotel, a Holiday Inn Express, the clothes were also soaked and some had bled on others. One dress was ruined but fortunately the wedding dress was unharmed.

Our flight was uneventful. We were tired from the overnight flight but it was a wonderful trip.

Our flight from Fairbanks did not leave until late in the day. We had time to do some sightseeing and decided to take a cab to the Museum at the University of Alaska. It was a good choice. We spent several hours there looking at their varied exhibits. Our 1st flight was from Fairbanks back to Anchorage. The flight from Anchorage back to DC did not leave until about midnight.
