Phnom Penh Day 3/ Vientiane Day 1
We had a flight in the afternoon so we had a lazy morning trying to find somewhere to stay in Vang Vieng. As we made the decision not to do the Gibbon Experience we now had a couple of days spare to spend in Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang.
We arrived in Vientiane and the first thing that struck us was how quiet it was.Marie picked up some funny issue with her foot, so we took it easy for the afternoon, taking a gentle stroll around to get our bearings and enjoyed some tradition Laos kebab food!!!
Vientiane Day 2
We read Lonely Planet a few times and looked at other material to find out what there was to see in this place and came up with the same answer - nothing! So we did a few of the sights, which were mainly statues and stopped to look over the Scandinavian bakery to see if they had bulla (kind of did) and took a stroll along the Mekong promenade, which will be really nice when it is finished - kind of a building site right now.It was a quiet day.If you get a chance to go to Laos, pass through the capital promptly.
