The ride to Barcelona was a longer one but well worth it. The first stop we made in the city was at the Sagratta Familia, it was one of the many Gaudi buildings that were in the city. The amazing stucture had two sides to it, one Gaudi did and one another person designed. It was amazing to see such unique architecture right before my eyes. We then were on our way to the next house when the bus' clutch have out. We blocked traffic for a bit then Tonino got the bus to move a block and off to the side. We all cabbed it back to the hotel and unloaded our stuff. Most everyone went for a walking tour that night, but I was feeling a bit under the weather so decided to stay in. The next morning I woke up nice and early, had breakfast, then met up with some of the tour peeps to see some sights. We took the Tram into the main part of town and walked from there. The first stop we made was at the Picasso museum which was fantastic. After that we slip up. I had some lunch then headed to one of the Gaudi homes, I must have stopped about 8 times on the way due to all the fantastic shopping eveywhere! Once I got to the house I met up the the same people again by chance and we then headed over to Gaudi's park. After getting off the wrong metro stop and hiking up a huge hill we made it. It was brilliant. Everything resembled nature, no strait lines, barely any semitry, and just so cool! After a walk through the park and a picture of the lizard we cabbed it back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. A bunch of people signed up for the optional dinner that night which included a flamenco show for 54 euro, I opted for Korean food with Shin Eh! Shin Eh is a Korean girl that speaks little to no english, she is doing this trip on her own and loving evey minute of it! My roomie, Shin Eh and myself all jumped on the metro and headed to that stop we Thought it was at. We ended up walking an hour to where it really was and once we got there it was like Christmas for Shin Eh, she jumped up and down for joy and was so elated to "speakuh my laneduage". She so politely informed the waitress I was a vegetarian and read off to me dish by dish I could order. Right after we ordered Shin Eh saw a girl sitting by herself who also happened to be from Korea so she invited her to sit with us. Her name was Julie and she spoke engrish very well. She shared with us what she did for work and why she was traveling, she also was translating for Shin Eh throughout the night. Dinner was of course so so so good! At the end of the meal, Julie and Shin Eh were talking Korean for a bit and then Julie shared with me that Shin Eh wanted to thank us for being so kind, patient, and friendly to her the whole trip. She hopes we stay in touch via e-mail and wants to visit the US. It was such a great feeling to know you can make people feel comfortable, welcomed, and happy just through actions. After dinner we headed to the bar where everyone was at. We watched the football game for a bit then all headed home and went to Bed. I slept through the wake up call and missed breakfast, I only got to say goodbye to a few of my tour peeps and wish them well. The bus left and I packed up my room and headed out to the market to pick up some stuff for lunch. I took the tram, metro and train and got to the airport. Once inside, its like a shopping mall. There are stores and cafes all over this place. I wandered around for a few hours before my flight and now off to London! Joanna Newsom is tomorrow !!!!!!
