Dachau: concentration camp and memorial tour - the first major concentration camp 18kms outside Munich, the 'Academy of Terror.' The Arbeit macht frei ('Freedom through work') gate remained a cruel and sinister emblem. It also became the first memorial site in post-war Germany.
