Snorri Thorfinnson was a farmer here at that time, supposedly the first son of Europeans born on the North American continent., th son of Thofinnur Karlsefni and Gudidu Thorbjarnasdottir. Opened in 1952, Glaumbær Museum is Iceland's best museum housed inside turf-roofed farm buildings.
