Blatindur- the home built on thiis site 1941-42 was almost complettely covered by lava with the 1973 volcano eruption. A part of the home;s living room remaind uncovered and became the symbol of the town destroyed by lava, ashes, and cinder. 6/2013 the last part of the house collapseed. In 2016, the town reconstructed the window side of the partt of the house nott destroyed by the lava.
