This photo and the next one were taken at 12:30 PM in the afternoon standing in the middle of Broadway, the main street of Skagway. No cars, no people. This town of less than 1000 permanent residents can be overrun with up to 5 cruise ships a day when the season is open, 15,000-18,000 people a day. While few shops were open, what a joy to experience Alaska this way!
