Monumento a los Tripulantes de la Goleta Ancud - The Monument to the Crew of the Ancud Goleta was inaugurated on January 4, 2014 and dedicated to the commemoration of the effective takeover of the Strait of Magellan by the State of Chile on September 21, 1843. The work represents the journey of the twenty-three expedition members of the Ancud schooner, who sailed towards the Strait of Magellan, from the port of Ancud in May 1843 and who anchored on the shores of Puerto Hambre on September 21, 1843.
