Saqqara
Saqqara, also spelled Sakkara or Saccara in English, is an Egyptian village Twenty miles south of Cairo, on the Nile's west bank, where riverfed crop fields give way to desert that's known for its vast, ancient burial ground of Egyptian pharaohs and royals, serving as the necropolis for the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis.
