The dogs are very different in Heredia than they are at home. They never approach you to get a pat or a sniff. They never bark at you when you pass them. The only time I hear dogs barking is at night - and they seem to bark all night. During the day you see them wandering around the streets alone and they know how to navigate themselves through busy traffic. You also will see messenger dogs carrying tubes on their backs and taking them messages from one place to another. I haven't gotten any pictures of them yet. I find all the dogs look really sad if you look into their eyes. I pass these two every morning.
