Happy easter everyone! We hope you are all having a great vacation!
So now we´ve explored another wonder of the world, but this time it was not a man made one. Iguazu falls lies on the border between Argentina and Brazil. It has become a UNESCO world heritage, and it´s easy to see why. These wondorous water falls are entirely surronded by tropical green rain forest and butterflies in millions of different colors. The roaming sound of the thundering power that the water walls create gives us the chills, and the view is simply breath taking. But best of all, was actually feeling it! The humidity must have been 200 %, we felt the steam on our faces. A boat provided us a ride through the splashes of one of the falls. (see one of our photos, everything, we mean EVERYTHING got soaking wet). A man made walk way alouded us to go out to the middle of the river, so that we were seemingly surrounded by the force of the rushing water of the most famous fall: ¨Garganta del diablo¨aka. ¨Throat of the devil¨. WooooW what an incredible experience!
Before arriving the border of Brazil we went to visit two more cities in Argentina. Mendoza was a good contrast to the jet-set life of Buenos Aires. It was a small and beautiful town lying within green hills and vinyards. We went rafting in the Mendoza river, which was a fun and exciting few hours. Being in the area that produces 70 % of Argentine wine--there was no way we were gonna miss out on the wine tasting tour. We had tons of fun try to balance the bike between the vinyards--´cuz after every stop it got harder to get back on the road! This was drunk driving on a high level--and legally!
In Cordoba we finally got around to see some real Argentine tango. We went to a dinner cabaret on saturday. The singers were amazing and performed with a dramatic tango-spirit. The dancers were no less pro, with smooth tango steps and some skill-demanding tricks. We got so inspired--we had to go back the next day for classes! It was so much fun learning tango--even though we were BY FAR the youngest there (also see pictures!!). However the old guys teaching us, had some serious tango skills, having danced it for 40 years...
Allright, so we just got over the Brazilian border... And now we can´´t rely much on our spanish anymore... But the plan isn´t to navigate more cities, it´s simply time to CHILL on the beach and finally try and get some tan man! The bus leaves in an hour for Ihla Grande. And we´ll be spending no less than 22 hours on that bus! For those of you who thought going to Oslo is a long way hehe...
Yeye see ya soon!
