This plaza commemorates May 25 1810, when the masses assembled to celebrate the deposition of the Spanish viceroy. It's also the spot where the Madres de Plaza de Mayo march every Thus. at 3:30 in hopes that they'll find out where their loved ones disappeared to during the dictatorships (Dirty War). Most were kidnapped by the government & tortured to death.
